ANTIFA PLANS TO PROTEST 154TH ANNIVERSARY OF GETTYSBURG BATTLE BY DESECRATING SOLDIERS’ GRAVES

Antifa ‘activists’ are reportedly planning to “desecrate” the graves of those that died in the Gettysburg, Pennsylvania battle as their means of protesting its 154th anniversary.

According to Harrisburg 100, the commies wish to protest President Donald Trump, “desecrate” history and disrupt the thousands of Americans and tourists who want to visit the memorial site and honor the fallen.

The outlet states that at least one Antifa group will be burning the town’s American and Confederate flags.

Antifa has made a habit of burning the American flag in protest of… well, America.

Civil War Talk has issued a warning about a Facebook event, which has apparently been deleted, that the commies have used to organize the event.

“They… have an event scheduled for July 1, 3-6 PM, at Gettysburg National Memorial Park Cemetery… The group urges their followers to ‘find their local Confederate graves’ to desecrate,” Civil War Talk’s warning reads.

According to Philly.com, officials say that they believe in First Amendment Rights but will be ready for disruptions.

“Our goal is to ensure that public safety and visitor safety is number one and that park resources are preserved,” said spokeswoman for Gettysburg National Military Park,  Katie Lawhon according to the outlet.

Gettysburg was the largest battle ever to be held on American soil.

160,000 troops fought over three days which resulted in 51,000 casualties. It is also one of the first American battlefield parks. It contains 1,328 monuments, markers, and memorials.

Should Antifa carry out its plan of desecrating the graves of fallen soldiers, they will join – as Breitbart’s Warner Todd Huston points out – the likes of the Taliban and ISIS, who have also made efforts to destroy graves and monuments recalling historical events they wish to erase.
